Join our dedicated team as a Driver/Wellness Assistant, where you will operate a company van under various weather conditions including sun, fog, and rain. This role involves safely transporting consumers and other authorized persons to and from our day program and work routes. SPECIFIC DUTIES
Support and Supervision
Provide support and supervision for up to three (3) developmentally disabled adult clients during local activities. Experience in personal care or related fields is preferred but not required.
Vehicle Operation and Maintenance
Safely operate the company van, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and maintain cleanliness. Adhere to all laws and policies set by the State of California and REVIVE Day Program, LLC.
Safety and Compliance
Conduct emergency evacuation drills, report any route hazards, and ensure maximum safety for all passengers.
Communication and Reporting
Communicate effectively with staff and the public, and complete all required reports accurately and timely.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid California Class C Driver’s License and clean DMV record.
Current First Aid & CPR certification (or obtained within 30 days of hire).
Eligibility to work in the U.S., with a negative TB test, medical clearance, and a clean criminal background check.
Ability to pass a physical examination (Form LIC 503) and a pre-employment drug test.
Demonstrated mental and emotional stability to maintain normal driving competency.
Preferably with at least two years of driving experience and prior experience working with the disabled.
